Business Development Manager - Payments Acquiring - Amsterdam

Location: Western Europe > The Netherlands > Amsterdam

For one of our biggest clients we are looking for a sales professional with experience in the Payments or Acquiring industry.

  • 5 years proven new business sales track record in a target-driven environment
  • B2B sales or B2B consultative sales experience is required
  • Experience in a multicultural business environment and/or international sales role
  • Exposure or familiarity with technological and financial concepts
  • Comfortable with Excel and the use of CRM tools/Salesforce
  • Candidates are expected to be conversant in payments and technology
  • Prior experience in the payments industry


  • Always aim to exceed revenue and gross margin targets
  • Negotiate commercial contracts and terms forecasting to sales management
  • Contacting prospects via phone, e-mail, personal, and business networks
  • Build out and maintain a highly accurate CRM tool (
  • Represent our client at selected industry events
  • Manage expectations of external and internal stakeholders through clear communication

  • No 9-5 mentality. Flexible, informal but professional in approach

Other significant role requirements

  • Existing connections within the fintech community
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills
  • Preferably multi-lingual (additional languages besides English)
  • Good with numbers
