Sr. Technical Payment Consultant

Location: Asia > Taiwan  > Taipei
Work Type: Full Time

We are looking for a senior payment technical consultant to help a preferred client reform their business by supporting payment services and providing technical guidance in the latest payment technologies. You will be an important ally to our partners tier-one clients (merchants, banking institutions and payment schemes) who want to adopt new payment technologies and provide additional services to their customers. You will also undertake large scale projects on behalf of the client’s business when it lacks resources or motive to perform them in-house.

A successful payment technical consultant has a broad knowledge of the many facets of payment technologies and ecosystems. The ideal candidate will also possess great problem-solving skills to provide solutions and recommendations that will ease our client’s payment technologies adoption/migration. The goal is to contribute to the clients’ long lasting success so that our reputation can expand along with our clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent our client as a payment domain technical expert and advisor for our clients for their payment projects 
  • Meet with assigned clients when needed and provide strategic technical impact analysis
  • Collaborate with our partners clients on payment implementation including product certification in both new and existing technologies 
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients
  • Manage project and quality assurance of project deliverables
  • Provide payment consulting services (training and workshops) to clients
  • Promote product and services in addition to the consulting activities
  • Support Product & Marketing and Sales in presales activities
  • Coach junior consultants

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in the payment industry (both issuing and acquiring)
  • Proven experience as technical consultant or equivalent in payment industry
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience, experience with either development or implementation of payments solution is required
  • Experience with the latest payment technologies (including mobile payment), standard/specifications and market developments
  • Good understanding of the payment market (payment services, key activities in different payment implementations and stakeholders of the payment ecosystem)
  • Strong network within the payments (including mobile payments) market
  • Customer oriented attitude and outstanding communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills, result driven and team player
  • Willing to travel (frequent at times) and work both in our headquarters in Antony France and international subsidiaries as well as working at the client’s premises internationally
  • Familiarity with a wide selection of testing tools for payment devices and payment acceptance devices 
  • Experience in IOT and/or FinTech is a plus
  • Completed master degree in engineering or equivalent 
  • English is an essential requirement, Chinese is a plus.
  • PMP Project management is a plus
