Business Development Manager (Scheme Relationship Management) - Fulltime 

Our client is working in the software industry and accompanies organizations from the development of strategies until the execution and implementation of future-proof products. They have three locations in Austria in which they are designing and developing mobile and digital payment. Currently they are looking for a Development Manager with a focus on scheme relationship management based in Vienna, Zurich, Paris, London or Germany (preferably Berlin or Munich).

The job:

  • Contribution to a short, mid- and long-term scheme cooperation strategy (specific schemes like MasterCard, Visa, Amex plus additional global and local schemes)

  • Generation of new business as well as maintaining existing business by relationship establishment within payment networks 

  • Relationship definition with global, regional and local (country) scheme stakeholders in order to utilize these relationships for the creation of tangible short, mid- and long-term business opportunities

  • Organization of joint events with the schemes and attending scheme events

  • Collaboration with marketing team to enable and support the schemes with products and market communication services

  • Management and supporting closure of pipeline filled with customer opportunities developed with the scheme partnerships + supporting sales organization with sales activities

  • Development and calculation of partner business models and innovative sales business models to create relevant models for partner eco-system and to enforce the profitability of the product and service line

  • Monthly/quarterly communication of the progress of initiatives to stakeholders (internal and external)

  • Budget and forecast for assigned territory (Europe)


What we look for:


  • Significant skills and experience in partner acquisition, business development, and / or partner management within the payment, software or fintech industry

  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and MS Excel

  • Strong technical acumen and proof of accomplishment of driving emerging/disruptive technologies

  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills and superb ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences and strong presentation skills are a must

  • Strong English skills are a must

  • Scheme knowledge or previous scheme management experience is an asset

  • Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time
