Director of Global Partnerships

Purpose of the role

The Director Global Partnerships represents the company at an industry level and manages the team responsible for end-to-end contract management and supplier relationship.

Maximise relationships to ensure best in class commercial pricing.

Ensure they remain the supplier of choice for partners and ensure that strategic direction and new business opportunities are understood and regularly reviewed to maximise operational efficiencies and new business development opportunities.

Ensure the internal process to identify, scope, approve and implement new supplier Initiatives is clearly understood and effectively delivered. Additionally, oversee the project management process and that it meets the requirements of the Product, Partnerships and commercial teams and ensure active and effective participation of cross department stakeholders.

Responsible for the supplier commercial and operational performance, tracking and maintaining within contractual agreements and ensuring that they deliver mutually beneficial results and opportunities.

Responsible for selecting new key suppliers or payment methods that will keep them as a world leading payment provider.  Support the team in leading negotiations at a senior level with supplier and business stakeholders.

Take a lead role in expanding the global payments offering in new market areas by developing new supplier relations, direct analysis / research of trends in the market and benchmarking of current services and products.

 

Deliverables / Tasks

 

  • Manage and develop a best in class global commercial team. Currently 9 FTE divided over APAC, LATAM, US and EMEA
  • Work closely together with the General Managers in APAC, LATAM, US and EMEA
  • Report directly to the CEO
  • Manage relationships, opportunities and issues with key suppliers
  • Manage and coordinate numerous payments changes internally across the organization
  • Representative at Industry events
  • Provide consultancy support to Sales and Account Management to help sign new corporate business and increased flow from existing clients
  • Prepare and present briefings on market analysis and new business opportunities and gain board approval to execute new business opportunities
  • Manage the relationship between GP and all internal departments
  • Act as an internal point of reference for market analysis, payment trends and compliance with card scheme and local market operating regulations
  • Point of reference for the GP team providing support and guidance as required.
  • Manage the supplier selection process and decide on new supplier selection and clearly demonstrate business reasons/commercial factors behind recommendations
  • Arrange commercial agreements with suppliers including Contract negotiation in order to maximize GC’s long-term business profitability
  • Maintain senior commercial contact and contract information of suppliers
  • Coordinate the supplier boarding process within GC
  • Administration of supplier invoicing together with Accounts payable and Control
