About the Job

  • Seek new logos and opportunities for revenue growth
  • Work closely with Vendor Management to negotiate best rates and revenue share with in-region telecom carriers for the best price and service availability
  • To prepare, review, negotiate and obtain approval for the annual revenue, operating and capital expenses budget for the country, within the guidelines set by the company’s management
  • To take full responsibility for the achievement, month by month, of the agreed budget
  • To recruit personnel according to the budget and required authorisations
  • To manage all sales and sales related personnel, defining their objectives, assessing their performance and being attentive to resolving all issues that may arise
  • To report in a timely manner all business activities, difficulties, risks and opportunities
  • To keep with the assistance of local consultants/contractors a full control of the company’s financial and legal position and to promptly report any potential or real risk
  • To maintain direct contact with all levels of the customer’s management team (from operational personnel through to Group Treasury, Finance Director, and Procurement)
  • To maintain total understanding of the company products and technical skills, to be professional in Financial and Technical meetings
  • To develop close working relationships with external telecommunication, software, services and network suppliers to ensure opportunities arise for the provision of the company products
  • To Prepare and arrange presentations and tenders up to Director level of customers and target customers

About You

  • 20+ years of professional experience with 10+ years as a leader in a payment based organization
  • 10+ years experience in disciplined implementation methodologies, root cause analyses of industry standards or processes, technology and operations risk management, profitability management, capital and budget planning, and financial modelling and reviews
  • 10+ years of proven experience as a valued contributor to a leadership team in strategically supporting the business in an initial growth and change
  • Experience in a medium to large sized Publicly traded company
  • Experience in ‘change management’ and consensus building with the ability to work across the multi-national departments and disciplines within the company
  • Excellent communications, presentation and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Minimum of 7+ years of people management experience at the corporate level
  • Experience in program or project management of complex communications system leading the company partners and customers through to implementation
  • A successful track record of building, managing and rewarding world-class teams
  • Meaningful network in the global business related environment of payments
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced collaborative results oriented environment
  • Post Graduate degree in technology, marketing or business. Advanced degree/s preferred
  • Extremely high energy and stamina to perform consistently and at a high level in a demanding environment
  • Diverse experience base in terms of types of organizations – both private and public – that cover the business base of the company
