About the Job

As the Senior Commercial Manager, you will report directly to the Regional Country Manager in Miami and will be based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

  • Add his / her sales, relationship management, technical and project management expertise to the commercial discussion with a view to assist financial institutions and market infrastructures in developing and implementing their projects and infrastructure improvements or redesign
  • Serve as a main point of contact within the company for the assigned accounts covering major banking, securities, and market infrastructure relationships by supporting their related business requirements and cross-selling additional products
  • Partner with company colleagues to drive the strategy in the region by delivering on the Latin American strategy, offering technical and market expertise
  • Be the recognized in-market industry expert promoting the company brand
  • Work in close coordination with the sales & specialist teams based in Belgium, NY, Miami, Brazil, and Mexico
  • Deliver on the strategic and execution plan for development of projects within the key markets of responsibility
  • Work with Banking and Securities teams to deliver and execute on strategic plans in order to achieve targeted sales objectives in an optimal, cost-beneficial way
  • Identify additional customer needs / market opportunities within the assigned portfolio to achieve business growth by building and maintaining long term customer relationships with primarily key/major accounts
  • Establish SWIFT's presence in Brazil through liaisons with customers and industry bodies through global coordination with other regions within a specific industry

About You

The successful candidate for this role will have a deep knowledge of the Banking Industry landscape and have very senior relationships in the Brazilian market. This candidate should also have experience and a strong understanding of the company products and services.

  • At least 15 years of experience in product and business development
  • Excellent knowledge of securities and payments market infrasturctures and systems
  • Established C-level contacts within the Brazilian Banking Industry
  • Proven track record of working on major industry initiatives
  • A wide degree of entrepreneurship and commitment is expected
  • Ability to travel both within the US and abroad
  • Strong analytical, project management, interpersonal and managerial skills
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Portuguese
  • Confident in presenting/speaking at conferences
  • Strong team player (commercial team)
  • Proven record of successful sales to market infrastructures and major financial institutions
  • Customer focused, have a good network, confident
  • The role requires an experienced, self-motivated, self-directed individual who understands the company products and services, customers and the industry
