About The Client 

Senior Business Analysts / Product Owners are required in Belgium to work on Payments projects within Cash Management (SEPA, PSD2, cross border… etc.) for an organization that’s undertaking a major transformation and shift to an agile way of working. These are full-time contract (freelance) positions, based in Brussels.

It’s a very exciting time for this organization as they embark on a significant transformation, planned to take place over a number of years, which will involve changes in culture, infrastructure and working practices.

About The Job

As a Product Owner or Senior Product Owner, you are there to guarantee the smooth running of the projects. You will work with the various tribes and Project Managers, translating IT into Business and Business into IT. It’s critical for you to be able to bridge the gap between IT and the Business and also to work at different levels of the organization. You will be joining the organisation at a time of major change which will be both challenging and rewarding

Your responsibilities will involve speaking to clients, understanding and translating the needs of clients back to the business. You will need to have an appreciating of the IT Infrastructure and legacy systems involved in a large organisation where things are not always as easy or as obvious as they should be.

You will be writing the stories with the Product Managers, prioritizing the user stories, prepare the inputs related to stories and play the part of a Central actor to the projects where you will organise and participate in meetings with the contributors of the projects (UX, Architects security etc.)

About You

  • Ideally a Payments background – knowledge of at least one functional area of Payments and project experience (e.g. PSD, SEPA, Instant, Cash Management,
  • Ability to develop networks, relationships and work in collaborative way
  • Good capacity for analysis and organization in a multicultural context
  • Must know the Agile Scrum methodology
