A Programme Manager is required for at least 12 months to work on complex, international IT migration initiatives. This is a key technical programme manager for a portfolio of international financial technology projects.

We need someone who has been a hands-on IT programme or project management for at least five years, and also complex IT and migration projects. High-level knowledge and practical experience with IT project and program management methodologies and techniques (ideally PgMP certification or similar, agile methodologies, classical methodologies and how they can be combined, scaled agile framework, etc.)

Domain experience in FinTech, Ecommerce, Travel or Telecommunications environment and knowledge of complex IT system environments, transactional systems and real time processing applications.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage (e.g. gather, plan, control, visualize, report) the overall IT/Technology program targets, the overall technical project portfolio, priorities, dependencies and monitor status & progress (MS project, Confluence, JIRA, etc.)
  • Manage & coordinate the various (sub-)work streams and their project portfolio
  • Regularly report program status to various stakeholders and the Steering Committee in close alignment with the work stream managers
  • Improve and execute the tech program governance & established processes (structure/organization/information/decision and respective “gardening”)
  • Identify program risk, track & report risk items, define and implement corrective measures mitigating the identified risk
  • Organize stakeholder communication and improve the visibility of important topics
  • Track, visualize & report on resource assignments (& gaps) across the topics & projects in the program
  • Track, visualize & report on project & topic priorities (& lack of) across the technical program
  • Manage the main program documentation

 

Other Requirements (alongside those mentioned above):

 

  • Strong ability to acquire understanding of the wider objectives of a program and maintain a target-oriented focus in complex and ever changing environments
  • Outstanding knowledge with standard program & project as well as collaboration tools (e.g. MS project (server), JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
  • Solid experience in & knowledge of complex IT system environments, transactional systems, real time processing applications in a FinTech, Ecommerce, Travel or Telecommunications environment
  • Knowledge of payment processing, payment systems & payment participants is a plus
  • Good leadership and management skills with key ability to work with teams based on a positive attitude; a motivator and driver for a wide range of individuals involved in the program
  • Solid knowledge on budgeting and resource allocation procedures
  • Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems and find solutions (not problems)
  • Communication professional in an intercultural environment
  • Excellent English language skills in a IT/business context is a must (German language is a plus)
