The Client

Our client is the leading provider of fraud solutions. Used by banks, PSP’s and retailers it manages risks associated with banking and shopping, in person, online as well as via mobile.


The Role

As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you understand the sales process for a growth-stage SaaS product and how to build lasting relationships with potential clients. You’ll have the technical background to manage demos and installation questions around on site and SaaS software deployments. You’ll be able to work with the sales team on a day to day basis and support them to customize our client’s demos to ensure they demonstrate to their potential clients how they have the capability to solve their data management challenges. You’ll also be a bridge to product and development teams, distilling sales engagement feedback for them to help guide our roadmap. Finally you’ll have the organizational skills to do all this, and be able to manage coordinating multiple RFP proposals at the same time.



  • On-site client visits for demos and technical sales discussions
  • Leading demo customization execution
  • Managing, completing and checking RFP documents and processes
  • Engaging with the product and dev teams around roadmap features to ensure you are the best resource for our sales teams on our product and our roadmap



  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience in a pre sales technical environment
  • Experience with Java, HTML, XML and JSON
  • Ability to understand and determine an enterprise's customer’s needs and how our clients’ products might best fit through a consultative approach
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, set your own demanding expectations and exceed them
  • A passion for data, startups and technology
  • Must be organized and a self-starter, able to deliver high-quality work without a tactical oversight
  • Fluency in German


Nice to have Requirements

  • Experience at a growth-stage B2B SaaS company
  • Experience in the eCommerce space or in the payments industry
  • Previous software development experience, or commercial / sales experience
