About the Job
A Lead DevOps Engineer is required for a start-up in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, which is developing a real-world application and looking to bring a product to market in 2018. Blockchain technology will be used for the transaction infrastructure, helping bring private individuals into an established marketplace, where they can exchange or buy, using the Blockchain.
You will be part of a team dedicated to bringing Blockchain to the market and be involved with realising an automated infrastructure solution for continuous delivery, automated testing, and deployment of IT operations in an optimal way. You will be planning, analysing and supporting the system.
The current stack is based on Blockchain technology so an understanding of what this is essential. Knowledge of modern IT tech is required, such as API integration, clustering, load balancing etc.
Key experience we are looking for is with AWS (public cloud), Docker (e.g. infrastructure as code tools) and automation tools such as Docker.
This is a real-life application for a market, which is ripe for disruption and they have a strong use case for Blockchain. On offer is a chance to be one of the first waves of Blockchain Developers working on a project that is going to deliver real value once delivered. You will be working alongside established, long-term industry professionals at the Operations and Management level that will be guiding the start-ups.
It’s a start-up environment with a flat structure, where everyone will need to support each other, participate in the decision making, have responsibility for their work and each other and the flexibility to choose your own tools to help you deliver. You will help select the right architecture, ensure code is unit-tested, review your peers code to suggest improvements and ensure the final product meets the required standards.
