My client is a global payments technology company, dominant in Europe. They are rapidly growing in the US and are now looking for a Head of Operations to lead their newly formed Merchant Services, Merchant Onboarding and Customer Success teams. There are several thousand merchants to take care of.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of regional merchant services and merchant implementation teams
  • Support the business and commercial teams to achieve smooth management of customer accounts
  • Support the business to ensure fast boarding and integration of new customers, acting as the central point for information on progress of new business applications
  • Liaison between the region and HQ to manage incidents, operational impacting events and to keep up-to-date with business impacting changes
  • To grow our competencies and expert staff across the region through training and continual updating on systems knowledge
  • Foster an environment of continual improvement, making changes to processes to benefit the business and increase customer satisfaction
  • Set SMART objectives and KPI's across the region for operations staff
  • Support leadership on strategic and landmark projects across the region


  • Customer focused operations experience from a high scale technology business, preferably with a B2B focus
  • Broad experience in supporting commercial teams and communicating with customers and key stakeholders
  • Industry knowledge of online payment processing and payments operations preferred
  • Strong leadership, organisational and communications skills
  • Highly organized, analytical thinker that creates change through positive interactions and leading by example
  • High energy, engaging, hard-working and motivational


  • Minimum 10 years of experience of which 5 years are in an operations management role for a technology company with a large customer base, preferably B2B in business services
  • Experience in developing, coaching and training of employees
  • Experience in either working with or managing of cross functional teams

  • Strong understanding of technology platforms and technology concepts
  • Payments knowledge a plus

  • Role reports to: Regional General Manger, North America
