About the Client

Our client is a technology and financial services provider offering a full range of solutions to their clients worldwide. For their implementation team they are looking for a lead who will be heading up the professional services department in order to implement/establish a framework to deliver their issuing projects globally.

About the Job

  • Being the line manager of the global projects department with overall budget responsibility, consisting of team leads (own cost center responsibility line function – once applicable and team size has been reached), (senior) project managers, senior product consultants and (senior) test managers
  • Entering new countries and geographies with new bin sponsors, arranging for required processor certifications, additional local switch and ATM network integrations by delivering projects in the respective local regulatory environment adjusted specifically to the respective local business and customer requirements
  • Building up project implementation standards for local project teams
  • Growing and forming respectively lead team leads to grow and form an international team of highly-trained individuals to ensure in-quality, at-cost and in-time delivery of payment card issuing solutions on a global scale
  • Delivering and supervising highly complex, innovative, international projects implementation in the area of payment card issuing, mobile payments and digital banking from pre-sales until launch doing so onsite, through training of local staff and through the global projects team
  • Establishing, together with Team Leads, new processes for the respective countries and new implementations to ensure a proper handover from project phase to the operations team after successful launch
  • Engaging and interacting with strategic partners globally within established framework agreements, e.g. Card Schemes (for example Visa and Mastercard), Personalization Bureaus (for example Oberthur and Gemalto) as well as our client’s global BIN sponsor network
  • Liaising with relevant product and project teams within our client on best practices, project methodology and product definition, especially other teams, Product Management as well as local teams
  • Building and managing relationships with our client’s international sales units in order to ensure broad market exposure of our client’s issuing solutions
  • Identifying and consulting international Sales teams on strategic solutions within our client's overall issuing products portfolio
  • Presenting our client’s Issuing products and solutions both internally and externally (for example at in-house exhibition, industry events, congresses etc.)

About You

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • Experience in a leading role in complex and highly time critical software implementation projects at level A customers
  • Hands on mentality while keeping focus on strategic objectives
  • Moderating skills
  • Experience in Scrum for internal processes as well as Waterfall for external processes
  • Ability to structure complex tasks
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Fresh ideas and the ability to think outside the box in helping us to develop innovative software solutions corresponding to our motto of "Making Payment Happen"
