About the Job

  • The Director of New Innovation is responsible for identifying new innovations to provide a seamless customer experience across products, channels and operations 
  • He/She will be responsible for identifying leading edge technologies in partnership with technology to improve the cost structure, employee experience and deliver customers with capabilities to manage their holistic “One Chase” banking relationship 
  • He/she will be responsible for the strategic assessment of opportunities in partnership with technology and cross-partners
  • He/she will partner with Operational leaders to determine what key business challenges need to be improved/modified/eliminated and determine what new and existing technologies can drive viable solutions
  • He/she will partner with the Customer Journey team to understand the end-to-end strategies and where new innovations are necessary/needed/adding value to execute on the journeys
  • He/She will create a robust pipeline of new technologies that will deliver on the business needs of operations as well as the end-to-end Customer Journeys

Main Responsibilities

  • Define multi-year strategy to move forward key technologies
  • Align and partner across operational disciplines (Collections, Service, Fraud, CTO) to determine areas of focus/transformation
  • Identify and evaluate acquisition, partnership and investment opportunities with a bias towards actionable intelligence and/or results
  • Identify existing partnerships and Fintechs to drive forward the customer journeys and operations transformation
  • Attend industry events and keep abreast of the latest innovations and technologies to solution business/customer needs 
  • Identify pipeline of opportunities and create and communicate : what business needs it solves, timing on implementation and how it fits into the broader CCB Operations strategy 
  • Strategize at both the macro level, as well as for more tactical outcomes
  • Monitor and analyze market/ competitive intelligence (traditional and non-traditional) and internal product and partner development efforts
  • Partnering across the company to identify new and existing partners to aid in the execution of the strategy 

About You

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in business strategy and execution
  • Candidates must have experience in both building strategy and executing it with demonstrable results and outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders across functions and at all levels (business, technology, operations, executives, peer and staff)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with ability to influence the development and execution of key operational strategies and project
  • Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to present to varied and large audiences, including executive updates
  • Capable of navigating in dynamic and complex organization environments
  • Well-developed ability to attract, train, motivate, develop and retain employees
  • Bachelor's degree required, Advanced degree is desirable
