About the Job

The Director of Acquiring Relationships is responsible for managing all aspects of the commercial relationships with third party suppliers of payment products and services and reports to the Director of Global Partnerships. The candidate will be responsible for the successful on-boarding of new key international card acquirers, card acquiring banks and alternative payment providers. The integrations will be performed on the global payment solution of the company.

The candidate has an end-to-end contract management and supplier relationship responsibility for a defined portfolio of suppliers within the acquiring domain.

The candidate will participate in supporting the commercial goals of the company. Furthermore he/she is responsible for the handling of day to day matters and escalations between suppliers and/or internal departments to establish and maintain positive relations with both.

Principal Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Manage relationships and opportunities with suppliers
  • Arrange commercial agreements with suppliers including contract negotiation
  • Explore and develop new supplier relations
  • Coordinate the supplier selection process
  • Coordinate the supplier boarding process
  • Arrange buy rate reviews and updates
  • Conduct regular performance reviews
  • Provide consultancy support to Sales and Account Management to help sign new corporate business and increased flow from existing customers
  • Arrange and document foreign remittance channels (including related tax issues)
  • Prepare and present briefings on market analysis and new business opportunities
  • Administration of supplier invoicing together with Finance

About You

Academic Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the financial/payment industry preferably in a multi-location global company
  • Extensive broad based experience in account management processes and experience in a professional and complex environment
  • Great knowledge of the international acquiring business
  • Experience in international projects
  • Strong negotiating & deal modelling skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Technical product knowledge (e.g. API’s, payment products & services)
  • Ability to work in an dynamic environment and able to build relationships with the global, regional and local teams within the company
