For one of our scale-up clients we are looking for Business Development Manager(s). Our client is leading the way in the Digital Banking space and they are well known for their innovative power and vision of how all of us (including you) handle our daily financial matters. Exploration is in their nature and they love technology. No matter how big the challenges are: they will make it work.

Employees come from all over the world (40+ nationalities) and they currently employ the smartest and fastest learning people in the field. You will work with some of the best people in the business.

Experience

  • 5+ years proven new business sales track record in a target-driven environment
  • B2B or B2C sales experience is required
  • Experience in a multicultural business environment and/or international sales role
  • Exposure or familiarity with technological and financial concepts
  • Comfortable with Excel and the use of CRM tools like Salesforce
  • Candidates are expected to have an affection for payments and technology, and have a solid understanding of the e-commerce landscape
  • Prior experience in the payments industry would be a big plus
  • Industry experience in a key vertical market (Travel/eCommerce/SaaS)

Deliverables/Tasks

  • Always aiming beyond your target
  • Negotiate contracts and deals
  • Able to make market analyses and present them to the Head of Sales
  • Contacting prospects via phone, e-mail, personal, and business networks
  • Build out and maintain a highly accurate CRM tool (Salesforce.com)
  • Represent our client at selected industry events
  • Project management as clients move through the sales cycle, with a strong focus on time to market
  • Manage expectations of external and internal stakeholders through clear communication
  • Advise management on e-commerce developments in the region and the vertical market

  • Good combination of Hunter and Farmer skills; ability to create your own success
  • Creativity to find new business and build strong relations in the EMEA tech ecosystems
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment under limited supervision; self-starter
  • Strong forecasting skills
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast moving sales environment
  • No 9-5 mentality. Flexible, informal but professional in approach

Other significant role requirements

  • Existing connections within the tech disrupter community
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills
  • Preferably multi-lingual (French, German, Spanish, Italian etc.)
  • Good with numbers
