About the Job

The AVP, Strategic Sales is responsible for identifying, prospecting and generating new sales within assigned key accounts (Payers and Emerging Markets). This role is a senior level individual contributor position that coordinates with the Client Executives and Senior Client Executives to target specific opportunities and develop sales strategy. The RVP Strategic Sales will also work closely with the SVP/GM of B2B Payments to customize payment solutions and services within the assigned payer customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identifying opportunities to sell payment solutions into existing payer customers and net new logo’s
  • Directing and conducting sales presentations
  • Collaborating with Client Executives and Solution Sales Executives (SSE’s) to coordinate sales efforts
  • Developing and mastering a thorough understanding payment solutions
  • Building relationships with C-Suite at assigned key accounts
  • Orchestrate and lead detailed pre-sales planning and strategy, post sales handoff to implementation and ongoing knowledge transfer to Client Executives, Senior Client Executives and supporting staff
  • Negotiate and close contracts and coordinate with legal and product management as needed
  • Work closely with Sales Management and Senior Executives to develop and customize payment solutions for key payer clients and new business markets (Property Casualty, Workers Comp)
  • Complex selling via consultative sales process to assigned payer customers
  • Developing Sales Strategy in concert with Management
  • Keeping all opportunities current with Salesforce and providing periodic updates to management
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities within accounts and communicating to Client Account teams

About You

  • Minimum of 10 years’ sales and development experience
  • Proven track record of selling complex solutions to large national accounts
  • Extensive knowledge of payments in the healthcare and payer marketplace
  • Proficient at executing when experiencing multiple competing priorities
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to build relationships across the organization, especially at the Payer C-Level and collaborate as necessary to accomplish goals
  • Maintain industry, product specific knowledge and competitor differentiation
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • New business sales acumen (hunter vs. farmer)
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
