Blanka Ligeti is one of a few new additions to the PCN team here in Amsterdam. She joined the ranks in early October. She was born in Budapest, Hungary and then moved to Amsterdam to work full time as a Graphic Designer.

Can you please tell us a little bit about yourself?

I am Blanka Ligeti and I am from Budapest, Hungary. I worked there as a Graphic Designer and Cultural Manager. I moved to Amsterdam at the end of July 2017.

What led you to work at PCN?

I began looking for work opportunities for two months in Amsterdam. When I first met the PCN team, I knew immediately that it was going to be a perfect match for me. I really liked the people and the atmosphere, it was like love at first sight. I wanted to work for a fast growing company where I can use my creative skills and experiences.

What made you interested in graphic design?

Having grown up as the daughter of a fashion designer, I truly believe that style is a true expression of value. Initially, I had been a believer in traditional techniques, but during my Applied Graphic Design studies I discovered the beauty in this area as well and have grown to like it. Therefore making my work my hobby at the same time. First, I combined my paintings with computer graphics and then I started to explore other sides of graphic design.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I really enjoy editing and redesigning PCM and the corporate identity. I love that I can be part of the marketing team and create advertisements and other creative visual materials. I really appreciate that I can belong to a great team and feel independent at the same time.

Finally, what are your hobbies outside of work?

I really like to create art. I paint, draw and combine the artworks with digital elements. I love to eat, cook, travel, meet people and put IKEA furnitures together.
